2023 Update

It has been a challenging three years for Alec, as a musician.  In-person piano lessons with his long-time teacher, Joanne Minnetti, came to a halt with the start of the pandemic, as did all performing.  Lessons soon resumed over FaceTime, and then ZOOM, but there were frustrating limitations.  It was difficult to see details such as fingering and pedaling without repositioning the camera.  It was most difficult to hear accurate dynamics, especially to discern the intricacies of voicing or color.

Online lessons continued, nevertheless, and planning began for a solo recital for Fall 2021.  That spark of optimism was short-lived when we got the news that Joanne had fallen from a ladder and suffered a devastating injury to her left leg.  She would not be able to sit at the piano or teach for more than a year.

It was a joyous day when in-person lessons resumed in October 2022!  So now, after 12 annual recitals and a long intermission, ALEC IS BACK!  He is thrilled to return to the stage for his upcoming public recital.
